Thiruvananthapuram: Estro Tech Robotics has secured ₹1 crore in seed funding from Genrobotic Innovations Pvt Ltd, marking a significant development for Kerala’s expanding deep-tech ecosystem.

The investment establishes a strategic partnership between Estro Tech Robotics and Genrobotics, bringing together expertise in robotics, AIoT, automation, and technology commercialisation.

The funding round combines Genrobotics’ experience in advanced robotics and scaling technology ventures with Estro Tech Robotics’ capabilities in AIoT, intelligent systems, and automation technologies.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen the startup’s efforts to develop and commercialise next-generation infrastructure technologies aimed at addressing challenges in utility and urban infrastructure management.

The investment is also being viewed as a milestone for Kerala’s innovation ecosystem, demonstrating how established startups are beginning to support emerging technology ventures and contribute to the growth of the state’s deep-tech landscape.

Anoop Ambika, CEO of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), said, “this investment reflects the growing maturity of Kerala’s startup ecosystem, where successful entrepreneurs are beginning to support the next generation of innovators.”

He added that collaborations of this nature strengthen the state’s deep-tech ecosystem by providing startups with access to capital, industry expertise, mentorship, and market opportunities.

The newly raised capital will enable Estro Tech Robotics to advance the development and commercialisation of infrastructure-focused technologies designed for utility management and urban infrastructure monitoring.

The partnership is also expected to provide product development support, market access, and strategic guidance as the company expands its presence in critical infrastructure technology solutions.

Founded in 2020 by engineering graduates Christo Varghese, Christo Kollannur, Rahul Vincent, and Bonsto Wilson, Estro Tech Robotics is a deep-tech startup focused on developing Robotics and AIoT-based solutions.

The company first gained industry recognition through the development of India’s first UV Sterilising Robot. It later expanded into retail technology with RobAd, described as India’s first interactive robotic in-store advertising platform.

By integrating robotics, motion, sound, lighting, and AI-powered analytics, RobAd enabled brands to engage consumers in real time while generating actionable shopper insights.

Today, Estro Tech Robotics works with leading FMCG brands and retail businesses across major Indian cities. The company has also established international distribution partnerships in countries including Nigeria, Botswana, Qatar, and South Korea.

Headquartered in Thrissur and operating from Infopark Koratty, Estro Tech Robotics has emerged from Kerala’s startup ecosystem by leveraging its expertise in Robotics and AIoT to develop commercially scalable technology products.

After successfully deploying solutions across the retail sector, Estro Tech Robotics is now expanding its focus toward critical infrastructure technologies.

The company aims to improve the monitoring and management of underground utility networks and urban infrastructure assets through advanced technology solutions.

Christo Varghese, Co-founder of Estro Tech Robotics, said, “Estro Tech Robotics has always focused on building technology solutions that solve real-world challenges.”

Vimal Govind M K, CEO of Genrobotics, said, “when Genrobotics started its journey, Kerala’s startup ecosystem played a crucial role in helping us transform ambitious ideas into globally recognised technologies.

Today, we see it as our responsibility to support the next generation of deep-tech innovators emerging from the same ecosystem.”

With the fresh capital infusion, Estro Tech Robotics plans to develop advanced inspection robotics capable of navigating and assessing underground utility networks.

The company is also working on AI-powered sewer line monitoring systems that provide continuous monitoring capabilities, supported by predictive intelligence platforms capable of identifying anomalies, forecasting maintenance requirements, and improving operational efficiency for utility operators.

In addition to its infrastructure technology initiatives, Estro Tech Robotics will continue scaling its RobAd platform across domestic and international markets while strengthening its research and development capabilities to support future innovation and product expansion.
